A few weeks ago, we visited the Creation Museum. This was our second trip and all I can say is, “Excellent!” I came away thinking even more highly of the work Ken Ham and others have invested to show the scientific evidence and how it points to a young earth and a literal six-day creation.
We attended a dynamic presentation by Carl Kerby! He did a wonderful job of exhorting the audience to consider the effects the culture is having on us vs us influencing the culture, along with the result of sending our children into the public schools “as missionaries” when they are being chewed up and spit out at alarming numbers. Why? Their “missionary training” is minutes a week at best, while the school, movies, TV, and video games has them for 90% of the time.
Do the math and be concerned! Our children are the only “things” we have that will live forever and ever and ever, in one of two places. How are we investing our time with them? Or are we at all? And is it grounding them in the Word of God? If not, we are setting them up for a fall.
At the AiG bookstore, we saw a series of talks called Demolishing Strongholds. This is a creatively edited “Marvel Comic-ish” presentation gear toward teens, but enjoyable for all ages. Excellent material, AiG!
